Shipping policy

This Shipping Policy explains how Whitby Abrasives Inc. ("we", "us", "our") processes, packages, and ships orders placed through our online store. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms set out below.

Order Processing Time
Orders are processed and dispatched within 1 - 2 business days of payment being received and verified, excluding weekends and statutory holidays observed in Ontario, Canada. Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be processed on the next business day. During peak periods, sales events, or in the event of supply chain disruptions, processing times may be longer; we will notify you if there is a material delay.

Shipping Destinations
We currently ship to addresses within Canada and the contiguous United States. We do not ship to P.O. boxes for orders requiring carrier signature, and we reserve the right to decline orders to destinations we cannot reliably service.

Shipping Carriers
We ship through a number of major carriers, including Canada Post, UPS, FedEx, and Purolator. The carrier used for any given order is selected by us based on destination, package size and weight, and service availability. Where a specific carrier or service level is offered at checkout, that selection will be honoured subject to carrier availability.

Estimated Delivery Times
Once dispatched, standard delivery typically takes 3 - 4 business days for destinations in Canada and the contiguous United States. Delivery times are estimates provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed. Actual delivery times may vary due to factors outside our control, including carrier delays, weather, customs processing, and remote delivery areas.

Shipping Charges
Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on the destination, package weight, dimensions, and the carrier service selected. We do not currently offer free shipping. All shipping charges are shown to you before you complete your order and are non-refundable except where a return relates to a quality issue or our error (see our Return and Refund Policy).

Taxes, Duties, and Customs (US Orders)
Orders shipped from Canada to the United States may be subject to applicable duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees imposed by the destination country. Any such charges are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in the product or shipping price displayed at checkout. We are not able to predict or reimburse these charges. Refusing delivery to avoid duties does not relieve the customer of the obligation to pay the original shipping costs and any return shipping costs.

Order Tracking
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email containing a tracking number and a link to the carrier's tracking page. Please allow up to 24 hours for tracking information to populate.

Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Shipments
If your order is marked as delivered but has not arrived, please first check with neighbours and your local carrier depot, and contact us within 7 days of the delivery date so we can open a claim with the carrier. Packages that arrive visibly damaged should be photographed before opening and reported to us within 48 hours of delivery. We will work with the carrier to investigate and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement or refund in accordance with our Return and Refund Policy.

Incorrect Address
It is the customer's responsibility to provide a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout. We are not responsible for orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the customer. If a package is returned to us as undeliverable due to an incorrect address, the customer is responsible for the cost of reshipment.

Business / B2B Orders
For business and wholesale orders, the terms of any signed supply agreement or purchase order will take precedence over this policy where they conflict. Otherwise, the terms above apply.
