Disc Loading on Soft Paint
Closed-coat abrasives load immediately on soft paint and filler, reducing cut and leaving smears. Open-coat and anti-loading-treated discs resist clogging on automotive finishes and keep cutting longer.
Swirl Marks in Clearcoat
Coarse scratch patterns telegraphing through clearcoat are caused by skipping grit stages. Proper progression from 240 to 400 to 1000 grit, then polishing, eliminates the problem without re-spraying.
Heat Damage to Plastics & Filler
Running too fast or using worn abrasives generates heat that bubbles body filler and warps plastic panels. Correct grit selection and fresh discs at low speed solves this without slowing cycle time.
